Once again these folks come through with shinning colors! I have reviewed before and I must say Matthew, John and Rachael just consistently offer the best service for the money. In the world of VW TDI Matthew has won many a customer and they keep coming because the word is out! I am always proud to refer these folks to others. Thanks for great service, integrity, attention to details and technical know-how!

A few months ago, I took my VW Jetta in to have the brakes replaced. After $1,200 and 5 visits, it's still making a pulsating noise from one of the brakes. They missed replacing an emergency brake cable which caused the pads to drag on the rotor, warping it. They never replaced the rotor like I asked, only the pads, eventually the cable, and made some adjustments. I think they got to the point where they didn't want to spend any more time and money on it and threw their hands in the air. They even gave me a line about driving the car through the road grit and salt on Snoqualmie Pass can cause the brakes to make the noise. Really? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. ZahnTech is too expensive, and they bumbled a simple brake job. I took my car to them based on the excellent reviews at Yelp and expected a top notch job. Instead, I got a huge bill for a simple brake job with less than satisfactory results. :-P The staff were always friendly and courteous, they just couldn't get it right.

John and the team at Zahntech are excellent, they addressed all of the concerns that I was having with my vehicle. I had already visited another shop, and did not feel that they understood the issue. Zahntech clearly has years of experience working with my type of car, which can be rather esoteric as a foreign brand. They did excellent work, and I would trust them for all future repairs and maintenance for my vehicle. Their prices were reasonable and I appreciate that I was able to bring in brand new parts own my own for them to install.

After buying a total crap box of a car at a scum place of a dealer: Gasoline alley, I went to John and he really helped me out and completely fixed my car that I thought was headed for the scrap yard. He is a really nice guy and walked me through all that he did and helped me a lot. Can't recommend highly enough.

ZahnTech has earned my total trust over the last 6 years. This shop is the most trustworthy, experienced, and reasonable shop I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I have taken my car in for things that i thought were "omg" expensive, and been talked off the ledge with a reasonable repair. I've been talked out of repairs that didn't have any value. I have also had the "so it's doing X.." and they said "now THAT needs to be fixed right away. here's why..." They are happy to both show me the failed parts and explain (to a noob) how they work (and even give me places to look it up!). In 6 years, there was one time that the eventual repair cost more than expected, and that was $150 more because of an additional part that had failed (usually it's equal, or less). 5 cars, 6 years, and one $150 surprise? that's just amazing. Their *two year* parts and labor warranty is just stunning. They stand behind their work. All of us would like a "friend who's a mechanic." These guys are exactly that. Straight scoop, no BS, really fair pricing, and doing it right. I have a 15 year old who's getting her license really soon. She's getting the car that has been serviced for the last 6 years by ZahnTech. Although she might screw up, her car will absolutely not. I wish there were more good guys out there.

I've taken my older TDI to them several times over the years and they always do a good job like when my fuel pump was leaking. And they fixed a fuel line that was leaking at no charge - - a mouse had chewed into a line on top the engine -- that was not expected. They are BIODIESEL friendly too! I'll be going back for an oil change soon.

Love everything about this place. They're quick, reasonably priced, in a nice area (Lovvvve Redmond!), and they did just what I needed. My alignment for my BMW was HALF of what the BMW dealership wanted to charge me (which I wouldn't have paid for, I would have had my BMW fanatic friend fix it before paying at a mark-up like that!). Thank you ZahnTech!

I cannot speak highly enough about ZahnTech. From the work they do to their customer service, they are really the best. I heard about ZahnTech from the TDIClub Forum. I own a VW TDI and went searching for a trusted mechanic after poor experiences with the dealers. Matthew is listed by TDIClub as a trusted mechanic in Seattle, and the diesel guru on the west coast personally recommended him. Matthew has lived up to the recommendation - providing quality service at a fair price. I no longer live in the Seattle area, but Matthew has helped me on several occasions, giving me advice about how to fix the car or what was wrong with it. His advise is always sound and reasonable. He loves TDIs and knows them inside and out (to the point that he can accurately diagnose issues from 3000 miles away).
